Ruchi Mital

Ruchi Mital is an Emmy-winning filmmaker; producer; writer whose political education was deeply informed by a decade working with anti-violence and feminist organizations in NYC. She is Foundress of Solani Media with co-founder Zach Barnett. Documentary, fiction, immersive experiences, new media, or wild blend, Solani's constellation of media projects celebrate creativity and reconnect where we have been to where we can go--powered by source and imagination. Most recently Ruchi produced and co-wrote *This World is Not My Own*, a hybrid documentary about self-taught artist Nellie Mae Rowe, and *Tomorrow, Tomorrow, Tomorrow*, Director/Cinematographer Martina Radwan's deeply personal film about unexpected families and the messiness of love and belonging.
